Purpose
The purpose of The Little Red Wagon Preschool is to provide
opportunities for children to grow socially, emotionally, physically,
intellectually and spiritually in a warm, loving environment.
Little Red Wagon is a
developmental preschool that believes children learn by doing. They
learn by listening, touching, tasting and watching. Learning
experiences are provided through art, music and movement,
literature, science and dramatic play.
The children explore
language, nature and the world around them. They paint, cook,
build, slide, swing, run, sing, dress up, experiment, dance and share
with friends. An emphasis is placed on readiness skills in
math, reading, writing and problem solving.
We want the children to:

Philosophy
Childhood is a journey filled with growth and learning. The Little Red
Wagon Preschool will provide opportunities for children to grow
socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually in a
warm, loving Christian environment. We offer small class size, as we
recognize the individual needs and differences of each child. We view
the whole child, as we incorporate emergent curriculum into each day's
activities.
It encourages
children to investigate, create, discover and it motivates them to add
to their understanding of the world.
 Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of each child. One goal is
to build self-esteem that will lead to future success in school.
Integrated into the preschool day will be the exploration of music and
movement, science and nature, families and culture, art and drama,
language and numbers.
They will paint, cook, build, slide, run, sing,
dress-up, experiment, dance and share with their friends. We will base
much of our curriculum on the books children love. Music and singing
are used to ease transitions and create environments where children
know they belong.
The children will gather together for Chapel with
Pastor Denise to celebrate the joy of living in God's World.
We will provide a safe and secure environment where children can gain
the education and experience they will need to build a strong
foundation for future learning.

Application Process
We would like all applicants to tour our school. This allows families
to determine if The Little Red Wagon Preschool would be a comfortable
learning environment for their child. Please have your child accompany
you so we can meet them.

Enrollment
Enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year has begun.
Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis with priority given to returning families.
